CHILLICOTHE — For the first time in over a year, Chillicothe City Council met at 26 South Paint St. where things looked a little different than usual.
The Monday night gathering marks the return to council chambers after meetings moved online on March 23, 2020. To protect council members and guests, plexiglass dividers were installed and masks were required unless speaking. Public access was also limited and social distancing was encouraged.
Prior to the regular meeting, there was a safety service committee to discuss livestock in the city limits which dates back to a May 2019 incident regarding two neighbors.
At the time, the woman had two goats on her property as part of her daughter's 4-H project when her neighbor called the police in reference to the animal complaint.
