Children Services, Monroe Twp. fire department seek levy renewals

LIMA — Tax levy renewal proposals will appear on the May 4 ballot for the Allen County Children Services and the Monroe Township Fire Department. Renewals result in no additional tax burden on residents and simply continue a tax rate established when the levy was first presented to voters.
Children Services
The Allen County Children Services agency is asking voters countywide for their continued support at the ballot box on May 4 by approving a .5-mill, 5-year levy renewal. The proceeds from the levy, which amount to more than $900,000 annually, are used for the care and placement of children throughout the county.
