Karolyn Grimes didn't see “It's a Wonderful Life” until long after its release, but playing Zuzu Bailey in it has given her an interesting life indeed.
The now-former actress was 6 years old when she appeared in the Frank Capra-directed 1946 movie classic, which NBC gives its long-traditional Christmas Eve telecast Thursday. Grimes shares some choice scenes with Jimmy Stewart as Zuzu's father, George, who ponders how life would have been without him – a familiar premise that eventually requires novice angel Clarence (Henry Travers) to show him the way to personal redemption.
