Chico woman held to answer murder charges for DUI crash
A Chico woman was held to answer a second-degree murder charge as the district attorney's office said she was driving under the influence when she crashed into a vehicle and killed a man.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - A Chico woman was held to answer murder charges in the Butte County Superior Court Friday, the Butte County District Attorney’s Office said.
36-year-old Nicole Schalles of Chico was held to answer second-degree murder, vehicular manslaughter while driving under the influence and driving under the influence causing great bodily injury, the district attorney’s office said.
