 A big thank you to several Chico police officers and residents at the department’s annual Lifesaving Awards took place Tuesday morning. 
Three police officers and two citizens from Chico were recognized during a small ceremony, each one receiving an award for their efforts in helping save a person's life.
Each person had a unique story, but one thing they all have in common is being a hero.
