Chico Police Department taking steps to clear parks
The Chico Police Department is taking steps to enforce park regulations in Chico after a new ordinance was passed by the Chico City Council.

CHICO, Calif. – The Chico Police Department is taking steps to enforce park rules in Chico after a new ordinance was recently passed by the Chico City Council.
The ordinance took existing laws and increased penalties. Crimes in the park that were once infractions can now be misdemeanors which can lead to arrests.
Action News Now spoke with one man who has been staying in a tent at Bidwell Park who says the Chico Police Department told them they had until the end of the week to move their stuff.
