Fans of Chick-fil-A’s chicken sandwiches, waffle fries and other fast food offerings will be happy to hear that the fast-growing national chain is opening four new locations in the Chicago area before the end of the month.
Two of the locations will be in Chicago neighborhoods — Bucktown and the South Loop — while suburban Elgin and Joliet will also be getting new Chick-fil-A restaurants before the end of the month.
The Georgia-based chain, which has over 2,600 locations nationally including more than 30 in the Chicago area, has been rapidly expanding over the years. It’s one of the key players in the “chicken wars,” which heated up when Popeyes released its own signature sandwich and saw another recent development with McDonald’s announcing its own new chicken sandwiches.
