Chicago Park District approves permit for Riot Fest over vocal neighbor protests

Riot Fest, which has been at Douglass Park since 2015, runs from Sept. 15-17 and expects to draw roughly 50,000 people to the park daily. Nearby residents and workers complained about traffic, noise and limited open spaces.
