TRANSPARENCY. ONE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS NOW TAKING A NEW APPROACH TO HIRING, BY ENLISTING THE PUBLIC’S OPINION ONEW N CANDIDATES. A FIVE-TIME ELECTED OFFICIAL, CHESHIRE COUNTY SHERIFF ELI RIVERA DEBUTED A NEW APPROACH TO HIRING FOR HIS STAFF. >> WE RETAIN A LOT OF STAFF SO WE DON’T GO TOUHRGH A LOT OF TRANSITION HERE. MI C: RECENTLY, RIVERA HAD TWO POSITIONS TO FILL. WITH A STAFF OF 35, INCLUDING 12 DEPUTIES, ADDING THEIG RHT PERSON TO HIS TIGHTLY KNIT GROUP IS TAKEN SERIOUSLY.
