The UK's coronavirus vaccination programme is in full swing on Merseyside
More than 200,000 coronavirus vaccine jabs have been administered by healthcare workers across Cheshire and Merseyside in the fight back against Covid-19.
New NHS England data shows that from December 8, 2020 to January 17, 2021 a total of 174,592 first dose jabs were delivered across the two counties, plus a further 26,628 quantities of the second booster dose.
Of the first dose jabs, 80,336 were given to people over the age of 80, with 94,226 given to other priority categories.
But more over 80s have received the second dose - 17,638 - compared to 8,990 under 80s, who have now had both injections.
