CHED Chair emotional after receiving 'gulay' as a token of thanks – Manila Bulletin

Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairman Prospero “Popoy” De Vera III could not help but be emotional after receiving an unexpected gift: “gulay” that came with a thank you note.  
In a Facebook post on Feb. 9, De Vera shared photos of the “gift” he supposedly received from a student who is among the beneficiaries of the CHED’s grant-in-aid program.

“Nakaka iyak at nakaka taba ng puso. Bigay itong gulay at pasasalamat ng isang Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) beneficiary mula sa DMMMSU na kasama sa programang dinaluhan ko kahapon sa La Union (This is heartwarming. The vegetable is a token of gratitude from a Tertiary Education Subsidy beneficiary from DMMMSU which were among the programs I attended yesterday in La Union),” he said.
