Chatham County Unity in the Community, CASA, Front Porch raise funds

What could be more heroic than first responders organizing a fundraiser for not one but two local nonprofits?! Chatham Unity in the Community held their first Chili Cook Off for Savannah/Chatham County Court Appointed Special Advocates and The Front Porch at Coastal Empire Brewery on Feb. 20.
When longtime friend Jamie Davis and I roll up to the westside brewery, I see birthday boy Wayne Noah waving me over to park beside a large cornhole competition. A huge fan of Chatham Emergency Services chief of development, I pose the 38-year fire service veteran with Jamie and event founder Lydia McCrary.
