Chatham County is vaccinating its residents at more than one and a half times the statewide rate, according to data released Monday by the Georgia Department of Public Health.
That data, on a new vaccine dashboard available at http://bit.ly/GAcovidvaccinestats shows that Georgia distributed 1.4 million doses of COVID vaccine as of Monday. That's 13,470 doses per 100,000 population statewide. In Chatham County, 62,461 doses have been distributed for a rate of 21,650 per 100,000 residents.
The Georgia Department of Public Health launched the more detailed vaccine dashboard late Monday. As part of the transition to the new dashboard, there was a slight decrease in the reported number of vaccines administered as a result of removal of duplicate vaccination entries and data cleanup, according to a DPH press release.
