CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Charlottesville Democrats are taking part in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, giving back to those in need.
“We’re collecting toiletries and other household items for our neighbors in Charlottesville,” Co-chair Sharon Webb said.
Members of the community were invited to drop off any household items they wished to donate.
“We thought about doing food initially. We felt like this was something that doesn’t always get covered,” Webb said.
