Doomsday leader Chad Daybell smirks in court as he’s told he could face death penalty for murder of his first wife and Lori Vallow's two children, ages seven and 16
The couple were each indicted by a grand jury Monday on charges of conspiracy, murder and grand theft in connection with the deaths of JJ and Tylee 
Chad is also charged with one count of murder and insurance fraud in connection with the death of his late wife Tammy Daybell
If convicted, they face life in prison or the death penalty
Daybell appeared to laugh and smirk during Wednesday's hearing as the charges were read out; he will be back in court for his arraignment June 9
