CFNIL awards Blanche Martin Mini Grants

ROCKFORD — The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois recently announced the recipients of the 2021 Blanche Martin Mini Grant Awards.
Kelly Duncan of Guilford High School received a grant for technology to allow teachers to simultaneously project lessons and see remote students to improve connection.
Doug Elfstrom of the Prairie Hill School District received a grant for the Willowbrook School Garden Project, an after-school club and opportunity for leisure or study access.
Sarah Logemann of Rockford East High School received a grant for Solar-Powered English, in which newcomer students will work in small teams to build a solar-powered device using a Flinn Scientific Kit.
