CITY OF NEWBURGH — A new, full-service bank moving into the heart of Newburgh's downtown business corridor is a sign of good things to come, said Mayor Torrance Harvey.
Rhinebeck Bank, headquartered in Poughkeepsie, announced it will open its fourth Orange County branch at 456 Broadway in the former Citizens Bank building. The bank's other Orange County locations include Monroe, Goshen and Warwick.
The branch will be the only full-service bank in the heart of the city, something local officials have wanted for a long time.
"This is a huge deal for our city," Harvey said in a text message. "It speaks to the notion that the City of Newburgh is open for business! We are making a comeback!"
