MORE THAN HALF OF THE STATE HAS YET TO RECEIVE A SHOT. THE PARENTS ARE EAGER FOR THEIR TEENS TO GET BACK TO SCHOOL. AS MUCH MORE TURNOUT. STEWAR A REPORTER SPOKE TO PHARMACIST GOT A REQUEST FROM A PHARMACIST. REPORTER: OFFICIALS RECEIVED SO MANY REQUESTS FROM THE VACCINE THAT THEY RAN OUT OF THEM BUT WERE ABLE TO GET ANOTHER SUPPLY FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH. >> WE STARTED TO REALIZE THAT WE’RE GOING TO HAVE A LOT MORE DEMAND THAN WE THOUGHT. REPORTER HE SAYS THEY HAVE ABOUT 1600 APPOINTMENTS AT VERY HIGH SCHOOLS THIS WEEKEND BECAUSE OF THE HIGH DEMAND, THEY HAVE TO REQUEST MORE VACCINES AND FIND MORE STAFF TO ADMINISTER THEM. >> THEY’VE ALWAYS HAD SOME OF THE SCHOOL NURSES HELP US SO WE GOT THROUGH TO THEM, ADDED MORE STAFF FOR US, I HAVE ADDED MORE STAFF IN THE PAST 24 HOURS AND WE’VE GONE FROM ABOUT FOUR VACCINATORS TO ABOUT 10. REPORTER: THOSE WHO ARE ABOUT 12 YEARS OLD CAN GO ANYWHERE THE PFIZER SHOT IS OFFERED. OFFICIALS THERE SAY THEY HAVE SEEN A SPIKE SINCE THE NEW AGE GROUP WAS ELIGIBLE. THEY ARE MINISTERING ABOUT THE READER SHOTS A DAY BUT ARE WORKING MORE THAT 500 A DAY. THEY WILL CONTINUE. TUESDAYS, THURSDAY, AND SATURDAYS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY GOOD THEY WILL THAT TAKE WALK-INS. IT WILL ALSO BE OFFERING VACCINES ON WEDNESDAY FROM 1:00 P.M. TO 5:00 P.
