Andres Centino, on Friday pledged more improvement programs for the Philippine Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). "TRADOC has come a long way. Before we retire, let's make TRADOC, this Camp, a model camp for the AFP," he said during the celebration of the TRADOC's 70th anniversary in Camp O'Donnell in Capas, Tarlac. Centino, who is also concurrent PA commander, said improvements to TRADOC are important for the development of future leaders of the AFP. During the event, the AFP chief led the inauguration and witnessed the turnover of the new Canieso Hall that will serve as modern and comfortable quarters for enlisted personnel. The PHP28.5-million facility is part of the Department of National Defense and Department of Public Works and Highways' TIKAS Projects for 2021. Centino also stressed the role of TRADOC in providing capable personnel in the AFP's push to end all threats by June 2022, echoing the guidance of President Rodrigo Duterte to the AFP. "It is a tall order, but if you ask me, I know it can be done. With the Army's premier education and training provider backing and preparing our soldiers, I know we can comply," Centino said. "As we celebrate this year's significant accomplishments and milestones, let us look forward to more fruitful years characterized by firm resolve and heart for public service, anchored on our core values of Honor, Service, and Patriotism," he added.
