Celebrity Chef Pete Evans Runs for Australian Senate Seat
Celebrity chef Pete Evans has been announced as the federal Senate candidate for the independent Great Australian Party (GAP), the party’s leader Rod Culleton said on Friday.
Evans, who has opened award-winning restaurants, is best known for authoring around 25 best-selling healthy cooking and lifestyle books and for co-hosting and judging 11 seasons of one of Australia’s highest-rated television competition shows, “My Kitchen Rules.”
He has courted controversy for his support of former President Donald Trump and been permanently banned from Facebook for his views on the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus.
