Trombonist Richard Clark, who will play in a virtual concert/interactive event with the Stamford Symphony Brass Quintet Jan. 3, says one of his most memorable experiences as a musician was performing in St. Paul’s Chapel the January after 9/11; the entrance is seen here. The chapel, across from the smoldering World Trade Center, was the site of an extraordinary round-the-clock relief ministry to rescue/recovery workers. Recalling firemen resting in the pews and cots set up in the choir’s loft, he says creating music there was simply “otherworldly.”Trinity Church Wall Street / Contributed photoShow MoreShow Less
