Arctic ice melting will bring huge economic losses, which can top $ 60 trillion, estimated by the Climate Center. That includes disappearance of coastal communities, decrease of freshwater resources, adverse impact of ocean current changes on climate and food, and loss in biodiversity. Now, the polar bear, the most iconic creature of the Arctic, is facing extreme challenges. Scientists predict that in 2100, about 80 years later, polar bears could go extinct.
