CBS News did not cite its
60 Minutes reporting on Gov. Ron DeSantis Monday after people across the political spectrum slammed it as a manufactured hit piece on the Florida Republican.
The
CBS This Morning and the
CBS Evening News broadcasts from Monday show the DeSantis report on his vaccine rollout was not discussed, Fox News reported.
A CBS spokesperson did not immediately respond to the
Washington Examiner's request for comment on the matter.
The move comes after
60 Minutes was accused of selectively editing an interview with DeSantis and manufacturing a “pay to play” scandal involving vaccine distribution in Florida.
