Caught in a bind– when Congress MPs chose to compete with farm unions in protest politics

There has been much talk about farmers mainly from Punjab and Haryana, braving winter chill protesting against three farm laws at various border points of national capital Delhi and sleeping out on national highways widened and improved by the NDA Government in the last six years. Everyone has been talking about these resourceful men of quiet dignity and rectitude fighting a pitched battle to secure their rights. Six rounds of talks with the Government failed to end the impasse but managed to keep the window open for more dialogue.
