A status yellow thunderstorm warning was in place for Leinster, Munster and Connacht on Saturday.
Three store cattle, seven calves and a bullock were killed on Saturday after they were struck by lightning.
In north Westmeath, the three store cattle were killed after potentially being struck by lightning, with Ciaran Lynch tweeting that he saw the incident take place.
“A white flame fire. It lifted the cattle clean off the ground and they were probably stone dead before landing,” he said.
