In the time capsule today…
We find Tim McCarver and Al Micheals getting ready for Game 3 of the World Series at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. And at 5:04 the Loma Prieta Earthquake struck!
We find a classic comedy baseball film theaters. Despite the story set in Cleveland, the film was actually shot in Milwaukee because it was cheaper. Charlie Sheen, Wesley Snipes and Bob Uecker star in Major League.
And we find a song on the radio by Love & Rockets. Vocalist/guitarist Daniel Ash wrote “So Alive” after being transfixed by a woman he saw at a party. He was shocked by his reaction as he had just gotten married. He never met the woman, and wrote this song instead.
