Though the Carroll County school board agreed last week to allow the option of virtual learning on days the public school system must unexpectedly close, that option was not used Monday, when all county public schools were closed due to snow. The Virtual Inclement Weather Day Plan that the school board unanimously approved on Feb. 9 will not go into effect until after Feb. 21, to allow schools to fully prepare.
