SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - It's been three years since the Carr Fire broke out. Years later, parts of Whiskeytown National Recreation Area are still closed to the community.
“We have been strategically reopening areas of our backcountry, where environmental conditions within the Carr Fire burn scar allows us to do,” said Scott Einberger with the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area.
