Carolyn Wangelin, 79, enjoyed singing in the choir

WILMINGTON — Carolyn Wangelin, 79, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021, at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born April 22, 1942, in Evanston, Illinois, the daughter of Donald J. Wangelin and Elizabeth Moe Wangelin.
Carolyn worked as a manager in the retail jewelry business. Carolyn loved to visit yard sales and collecting various items here and there. She enjoyed singing in the choir and loved dogs, cats and pretty much all pets in general. Most of all, she loved visiting her grandchildren and spending time with them.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Maynard; sons, David Hoff and Jeremy Hoff; and brother, Jim Wangelin.
