Carnival cancels Key West stops in September, October

KEY WEST — Carnival Cruise Lines said Friday it was canceling port calls in Key West in September and October, according to cruise line officials. The cruise line did not specify its reason for the cancellations.
Key West City Manager Patti McLauchlin said Friday she was not aware of any cancellations other than the Sept. 25 planned port call of Carnival Dream. The ship will instead sail from Galveston to Freeport, Half Moon Cay and Nassau in the Bahamas.
“They have canceled that one,” McLauchlin said. “Are they canceling other trips to Key West? I have not gotten any word on that.”
