CARLSBAD —
Police on Monday arrested a 17-year-old suspect in connection with the Nov. 23 slaying of Lisa Thorborg, a Carlsbad woman who was stabbed to death while hiking, a lieutenant said.

The teen is a Carlsbad resident, according to police Lt. Jason Jackowski. The boy’s name was not released because he is a juvenile.
Investigators do not believe there are any other suspects, Jackowski said.

A passerby found Thorborg, 68, dead late the morning of Nov. 23 along Hosp Grove trail, a half-mile southeast of Buena Vista Lagoon. Blood at the scene tipped police that her death was suspicious, and an autopsy revealed she had been stabbed.
