Conviction: A district judge imposed a fine and compensation
A THIRTY-year-old Carlisle man has been given a 12 week curfew after he was convicted of an assault.
Dean Wall, of Heysham Drive, committed the common assault on a male victim on August 16 last year, Carlisle's Rickergate Magistrates Court heard. He denied the offence but was found guilty after a trial.
District Judge John Temperley ruled that the defendant must pay £100 compensation to this victim. The curfew order imposed on him will run from 9pm each night until 7am the following morning.
The defendant was told that he will have to pay prosecution costs of £200 - a higher rate because it was a trial.
