It is time to talk about mental health and wellbeing.
That is the message from Carlisle City Council which is backing national Time to Talk. Time to Change day.
The council signed the Time to Change pledge in 2017, joining hundreds of organisations all over the country in pledging commitment to changing how we think and act about mental health in the workplace.
The wellbeing of council staff is a priority and they regularly organise support sessions hosted by their Mental Health Champions. An independent Employee Assistance Programme is also available 24/7.
Cllr Elizabeth Mallinson, Portfolio holder for Health and Wellbeing said: “We take mental health issues very seriously. Lots of us have felt worried about the coronavirus pandemic, and everyone will feel differently about the changes to lockdown restrictions.
