Broken vase puts husband in doghouse
Dear Write to Know: Hello. My wife recently inherited an early 19th-century china vase that was converted into a lamp during the Victorian era. It is an item that she treasures. I purchased a new shade for the lamp and while I was "trying it on for size" on our soapstone counter, it fell over and broke. The whole body cracked and 2 large pieces, along with a few chips, have detached. I am looking for someone on Cape who does fine china restoration and repair. I need to get out of the doghouse, lol. Any help with finding an expert to make this heirloom look like it did when it arrived at our home, just a few short weeks ago, will be greatly appreciated.
