Canyon ISD approves salary raises for 2021-22 school year

The Canyon Independent School District Board of Trustees elected new board officers during its latest school board meeting Monday.
Bill Jenkins was approved as the newest board president, replacing Bruce Cobb. Jenni Winegarner will be the board’s vice-president, Matt Parker will be the new secretary and Randy Darnell will serve as the associate secretary.
The board, in their new roles, took action regarding employee salaries for the 2021-22 school year. Members of the board approved a plan for a 3.5% raise for employees in the midpoint family for the 2021-22 academic school year.
