CANTON – Town councilwoman Karin Blackburn resigned from the town board Monday, Dec. 21.
The announcement was made in a press release from Town Supervisor Mary Ann Ashley issued Dec. 23. No formal reason was given for the resignation. Requests for comment from Blackburn were unanswered at the time of this writing.
A relative newcomer to the board, Blackburn was elected to the position in the 2019 fall election. She replaced Town Councilman Phil LaMarche who had decided not to run again for the spot after two terms.
