SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KWSN.com) — It was ninth-inning heartbreak again for the Sioux Falls Canaries Sunday. The Birds lost to the Kane County Cougars 7-2.
Kane County swept the Canaries over the weekend series despite each of the three games being tied after eight innings. The Birds lost Friday’s game 4-2 and Saturday’s game 11-7.
Birds starter Angel Ventura pitched 7 innings of two-run ball Sunday; Jabari Henry had an RBI single. The Canaries are off Monday; they host the Houston Apollos, a travel team, at the Birdcage tomorrow night at 7. You can hear the game on 98.1 FM, AM 1230 and KWSN.com.
