The Government of Canada and the Manitoba Metis Federation have resolved an outstanding litigation related to Canada’s planned sale of the former Kapyong Barracks land in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The Government of Canada and the Manitoba Metis Federation have resolved an outstanding litigation related to Canada’s planned sale of the former Kapyong Barracks land in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The settlement supports the development of a renewed nation-to-nation, government-to-government relationship between the Manitoba Metis Federation and Canada.
Both parties remain committed to working together to advance reconciliation and strengthen the relationship through co-operation and respect for Métis rights.
