Twenty-five-year-old Shreya, an employee of an IT firm in Gurugram, was asked to work from home once the second wave of Covid hit. Not knowing when she will be back in office, Shreya decided to leave for her hometown, Bhopal.
But her winter clothes, blankets and books stayed back in the city.
Packed in sealed boxes, those were sent to a storage facility for which she had to pay a monthly rent.
Shreya is among many people who left Delhi-NCR in a hurry about two months back when schools shut down, several companies folded up businesses and corporate employees were asked to work from home.
