CAMILLA, Ga. (WALB) - About 10:30 Monday evening, March 8, the GBI was requested by the Camilla Police Department to assist in a murder investigation that took place in the 100 block of West Circle in Camilla.
Camilla Police were called to that address in reference to a shooting. Once there, they discovered a woman had been shot.

Marquerius Johnson, 27, known to the victim, was taken into custody immediately.
Mitchell County Coroner Stedderick Thomas said the victim was 28-year-old Shelby Rhymes.
