A north Cumbrian serial fundraiser has received royal recognition for his recent work.
Cameron Stewart from Penrith helped to raise over 3000 cards for NHS staff across north Cumbria in April this year.
Cameron, 21, encouraged members of the public to send in Easter cards and cards of thanks, which were then delivered to former North Cumbria Integrated Care (NCIC) NHS Trust Chief Nurse, Anna Stabler, for distribution.
Cameron has now received a letter from the Queen's Lady in Waiting, Annabelle Whitehead, in recognition of his work.
The letter read: "The Queen wishes me to write and thank you for your letter in which you tell Her Majesty about the second campaign you set up to give a token of thanks to the National Health Service in Cumbria for the tireless work they have done, and continue to do, within the local community.
