The state of the road surface at a major junction in central Swindon has sparked a petition calling for it to be fixed.
Rodbourne Cheney councillor Jim Grant and his fellow members of the Labour party visited at the St Mary’s Church roundabout at the junction of Akers Way, Beech Avenue and Vicarage Road, bordering Moredon, Cheney Manor and Pinehurst.
They were asking people to sign a petition to have the surface of the highway going round the island and into the feeder roads included on Swindon Borough Council’s list for repairs as a priority.
The petition says: “We draw the attention of Swindon Borough Council to the state of the road surface at St Mary’s roundabout, Rodbourne Cheney.
