California's Public Universities To Require Vaccines For Their 1 Million Students And Staff
University of California and California State University, two of the nation's largest college systems, said they intend to require COVID-19 vaccines in the fall.
Two of the largest university systems in the U.S. — the University of California and California State University — said Thursday that they will require COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, faculty and staff on their campuses this fall.
While other U.S. universities have announced similar plans in recent weeks, the mandate from California’s two public university systems — which, combined, have almost 1 million students and staff — constitutes the largest intended COVID-19 vaccination effort in American higher education.
