California Legislature Revives Mandatory Bereavement Leave Talks

Assembly Bill 1949 reintroduces mandatory bereavement leave, expands 2020 allowance proposal. AB 1949 would make it illegal for employers to refuse bereavement requests by eligible employees for up to 5 days upon death of family member.
