College Station, Texas – To push Texas A&M University to end all experiments on golden retrievers and other dogs in its canine muscular dystrophy (MD) laboratory and to release the remaining dogs for adoption, a PETA supporter will cage themselves as well as realistic-looking stuffed dogs right outside the school’s veterinary graduation ceremony tomorrow.
When: Wednesday, May 12, 8 a.m.
Where: 730 Olsen Blvd., College Station
“The purpose of veterinary school is to teach students to heal animals, not torment them,” says PETA Vice President of Laboratory Investigations Dr. Alka Chandna. “The class of 2021 will surely agree with PETA: Dogs don’t deserve to suffer in pointless experiments or spend a lifetime without feeling loved.”
