WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) - As more first generation Latino students head to college, some like Clarissa Alvarado realize it’s a tough adjustment.
“I remember when I started, the population was really small for Hispanic students. I’ve seen it grow over the past three years,” said Alvardo, a Somos Familia mentor.
Cafe Con Leche presented Somos Familia, a mentorship program, to Midwestern State University as a way to bridge the educational gap.
