Byesville Village Council seeks new police chief as May resigns

Mayor Jay Jackson announced the resignation of Byesville Police Chief Jason May during the Byesville Village County meeting on Wednesday.
May who has held the position for approximately eight years is leaving the department for a position with the Cambridge Police Department.
May's official last day will be Friday.
"I want to say, I definitely appreciate his dedication and hard work to serve the residents and the village," Jackson said of May's time with the department. "I have to say we wouldn't be in such good shape if it wasn't for his leadership and I wish him well in whatever he does."
