Watch:
Frankfurt ruthlessly efficient
Frankfurt's chance conversion rate was crucial to their victory. Adi Hütter's side had nine attempts on Wolfsburg's goal, compared to 20 on theirs. Just five of their shots were on target, and four of them went in. Eintracht, who have now scored at least once in 23 consecutive games, clearly exceeded their xGoals value of 1.32. Wolfsburg also exceeded their xG of 1.82, but clearly it wasn't enough for them.
Frankfurt scored their goals with remarkable self-confidence. The first two - scored by Daichi Kamada and Luka Jovic - each only had a 10 percent chance of success, a clear sign of their attackers' clear-headedness. Frankfurt also plundered their four goals despite having just 44 percent of possession. For such an attacking encounter, it was also notable that Frankfurt and Wolfsburg were each only called offside once.
