Building Resilience in a Warming World – Global Adaptation Summit 25
UN Climate Change News, 22 January 2021 – Leaders are set to galvanize action to build resilience to the inevitable impacts of climate change at an online global conference 25 and 26 January. Such impacts included extreme weather, wildfires and floods that have become more frequent with rising temperatures worldwide.
The Climate Adaptation Summit (CAS) 2021, hosted by the Netherlands and led by former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, will see the launch of a comprehensive Adaptation Action Agenda setting out practical climate solutions and plans up to 2030 to adapt to a warming world and achieve a climate-resilient future. The Summit will be attended by UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Patricia Espinosa, the UN’s top climate change official.
