PULLMAN, Wash.
– Washington State Volleyball completed the series sweep of Colorado (4-2, 4-2 Pac-12) this spring, defeating the Buffaloes 3-0 inside Bohler Gym Saturday afternoon.
Set scores from the match were: 25-21, 25-18, and 25-19 in favor of No. 22 WSU (6-2, 6-2 Pac-12).
With each of these programs familiar with one another heading into match two, the opening set play was much more intense to begin match two. Multiple lead changes and ties were erased after a 5-1 scoring run aided by kills from Pia Timmer, and
Madga Jehlářová put the set score at 15-9 overall. Colorado began stringing together small runs late into the set, chipping away at the Cougar lead 21-19. WSU was able to regroup and win consecutive points, one being an Alexcis Lusby kill, for the 25-21 win.
